Summer is Here!!!

Summer is in full swing and the re-enactments are everywhere! We at Roan Creek Reproductions just got back from the Battle Of Brices Crossroads, Mississippi. One of General Forrests victories. We went as participants, but not as vendors and had a real blast! Even with the rain and wind.
I am still struggling with dial up so if you are following this blog and wondering when you'll see more pictures, I am working on it.
We have started a guild as you have read in an earlier post. The link to the guild blog is:

The next Event we are planning on attending is the Davy Crockett Days in Lawerenceburg, TN. in mid August. We are hoping to have fibers, spindles, and some finished items on sale there as well as a few kits for cardweaving and spindle spinning and some knitting patterns and more.

Great time at the Middle TN Fiber Festival

Hey! Now that was fun!!!! Beth and Steve did another outstanding job at making the Middle Tn Fiber Festival bigger, better and definately more FUN than last year! The vendors were great and the local talent! Oh my gosh! Can't wait until next year! AND the local FIBERS! We have some great fibers and yarn here in our own back yard! Something to consider as I finish projects and look to the next project.

The Card weaving class went well and I have a few kits left. You can email me at roancreekweaving@yahoo.com if you are interested.

I will be getting going on a "catalog" page in the (hopefully) not too distant future. I'm writing this tonight on dial up and pictures just don't want to load so check back for pics and a catalog page. C'mon wireless!!!!

One more thing The Buffalo River Fiber Guild is up and going. We are meeting once a month on the second thursday of the month. if you are in the area join us at the Commodore Hotel from 1-4pm.
